More about Kathy

What is your primary clinical interest/passion?

I love all aspects of Physical therapy and Wellness. I enjoy pediatrics, Neuro rehab in adults and children and helping individuals learn how to exercise. I do evaluations for adaptive equipment and assistive technology to assist patients in gaining the highest level of function and independence as possible.

What do you enjoy about Professional Rehab Associates?

When I started Professional Rehab Associates back in 1987, my vision was to establish an environment for providing therapy for all ages. That vision has been able to expand over the years. Our new office has a Kid Zone to teach children interactive play skills. We get
interaction between our patients of all ages and it is a very positive and nurturing environment.

Do you have further clinical plans for growth for you or the business?

I am looking forward to providing more sports enhancement training and helping children and teenagers meet positive outcomes in sports and
play participation. I would also like to start a Mommy and Me exercise program sometime in the near future. The thought of people of all ages enjoying exercise and working out together is very positive. This will
teach children to enjoy exercise and physical activity at an early age and help keep them involved throughout their lifespan.

What experience do you have? (i.e., years, training, focus, certification)

I am moving into my 45th year as a Physical Therapist. I have worked in a lot of settings providing Physical Therapy Services and outpatient rehabilitation is my favorite. I am a certified Clinical Instructor and enjoy interacting with our students.

What are your hobbies and outside interests?

I enjoy being outdoors. I love hiking, biking, kayaking, and spending time with my grandchildren. I do a lot of gardening, growing my own vegetables and fruit, and preserving and dehydrating. I love to bake and cook. I also have recently started playing Pickle Ball with hopes of improving to be able to play in tournaments.
